Questions

Frequently asked questions

Timelines, materials, service areas, and what to expect from quote to install.

How long does a typical kitchen project take?

After you approve a quote and material is available, field templating usually happens within 1–2 weeks. Fabrication and install typically follow within another 1–3 weeks depending on shop load and complexity. We'll give you a realistic timeline when we quote.

Do you serve both Calgary and the Kootenays?

Yes. Our Calgary showroom handles templating, fabrication, and install across the Calgary region. We also serve Kimberley, Cranbrook, Invermere, Windermere, and surrounding East Kootenay communities, plus select Saskatchewan projects.

What materials do you fabricate?

Quartz, granite, marble, quartzite, and porcelain surfaces from suppliers including Caesarstone, Silestone, Dekton, and more. We'll help you choose based on use, maintenance, and budget.

Will I see seams in my countertops?

Most kitchens require at least one seam. We plan seam placement with you during templating and use colour-matched epoxy for the cleanest possible finish. Large islands or L-shaped runs often need a seam for safe transport and install.

Can you remove my old countertops?

Yes — ripout and disposal is a service we offer. Mention it in your quote request and we'll include it in your estimate so there are no surprises on install day.

Do you sell remnant pieces for smaller jobs?

We keep a rotating stock of remnant quartz and granite from custom jobs — great for bathrooms, desks, fireplace surrounds, and flip projects. Browse our remnant stock page or contact us with dimensions.

How do I get a quote?

Use our contact form, email sales@stoned.ca, or call (403) 714-5866. Rough dimensions, photos, and material preferences help us respond faster. There's no charge for a quote.

Do you work with builders and contractors?

Yes. We support new-build and renovation contractors with repeatable quoting, scheduling, and a VIP partner portal for approved accounts. See our builder programs page or ask about VIP access.

How do I care for quartz or granite?

Day to day: mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals and cutting directly on stone. Granite benefits from periodic sealing; most quartz is non-porous. We provide care guidance at install.
